| What is a Pinhole Camera?
Pinholes are simple cameras. Light enters an otherwise light-tight box through a tiny hole. The light coming through projects an image of whatever is on the outside of the hole onto the box's interior (check out the image to the right). Your eyes work in the same way. Light enters the pupil and projects the image on the back of the eye where the optic nerve converts the image into something the brain understands.
